Three reasons why you should apply to be a Student Ambassador

Are you passionate about your study and keen to share your CQUni experience? Would you enjoy working at events and visiting schools to help to prospective students decide on their future study? Or would you be able to smash out data entry and office tasks? If this sounds like you, applications to become a Student Ambassador in 2020 are open now.

Here are our top three reasons why you should apply…

#1 You get paid!

Student Ambassadors help CQUniversity engage with the local community Australia-wide, and get paid to do so in the process. As fellow students, we understand how important it is to earn while you learn, without compromising your study commitments.

#2 Add experience to your resume

Another very important addition to your learning, real-world experience will set you apart from other graduates when applying for your dream job. If you’re interested in marketing, events, sales and administration these positions will be particularly helpful as you will be working directly with our Marketing team.

#3 Network and travel

Student Ambassadors assist us with Open Day events, school visits and campus tours, allowing for plenty of networking opportunities. You might even get the chance to travel within your own city and further afield, assisting with marketing and student recruitment activities.

Student Ambassador Reuben Bickell summed up the benefits of being a student ambassador…

“As a CQUni Student Ambassador, there are many exciting and challenging opportunities. This role has allowed me to develop transferable skills and gain relevant experience through social and professional events like Open Days, Career Expos and Information Sessions. It has helped me improve my confidence, build professional networks and I have enjoyed the ability to share my uni experience with future students. I encourage students to apply, you get to work with a great team and develop invaluable skills in communication and organisation.’”
