Welcome to my hometown: Brisbane, Australia

A CQUni course can take you many places; to regional, remote or metropolitan Australia, or across the globe. Hospitality management graduate David James takes us around his hometown, Brisbane.

My hometown is…
Brisbane

If you’re visiting you should take a look at…
South Bank, Eat Street at Eagle Farm, and the new Food precinct at King St, Albion

The best bit about living here is…
Laid back lifestyle, warm winters and many Parks around the city

The easiest way to get here is…
By plane for interstate and international visitors

Something you might not know about the area is…
Brisbane has the most street names that relate to royalty in Australia (I think).

David James graduated with a Bachelor of Hospitality Management in 2014 and works in the education department at ILSC international College as a Trainer Assessor. David is currently studying a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with CQUniversity and is the Alumni (Graduate) Representative on the CQUniversity Student Representative Council.

This blog is part of a ‘hometown introduction’ series highlighting what it’s like to live in CQUni’s global footprint. If you’ve graduated from a CQUni course and would like to be part of this blog series, please contact [email protected].
