Whether you are about to finish school and start a qualification or looking to re-skill for a career change, TSXPO can cater for all your tertiary study needs.

It’s one of the biggest tertiary expos in Australia and you may need help navigating all the information on the day, so we’ve put together some of our top tips to get you through.

Be prepared and do your research

Before you get to the expo make a must-see list of the top five exhibitors you want to visit. Get the most out of your conversations and come up with 3 questions to ask each exhibitor. This will ensure that you are getting exactly the information you are after.

We’ve put together the below examples to get you started or for you to use;

‘What are the entry requirements for this course?’
‘Do you provide student accommodation?’ or
‘What student support services do you offer?’

Go to an information session or seminar

Information sessions are a great way to hear more about specific course information, including exactly what you can expect from a course and what career it could lead to.

Pack light and stay hydrated

The expo has over 150 sites to visit so you’ll be doing lots of walking and talking, comfy shoes and water/coffee is a must - to keep your energy up.

No doubt you’ll be collecting heaps of course guides, information packs, plus all of the goodies from different universities and education providers, so pack light and bring the basics so you can stock up at the expo.

Grab a Course Guide and Directory

You are going to be hearing a lot of information, to make it less overwhelming, grab as many course guides and directories as you can. This way, after the event is over you can find a comfy seat and read through your options, reflecting back to the conversations you had with exhibitors.

Bring along mum, dad or a friend –

Its such an exciting time, be sure to share your journey with your friends and family. They will be able to help you ask all the juicy questions and they would be your no.1 supporters in helping you to decide the next step.
