Want to visit Asia as part of your studies?

Are you a Postgraduate student looking for a 6-credit point elective to study in Term 1 2019? Would you like to learn about working in/with Asian countries AND visit two Asian countries as part of the elective unit? Are you interested in receiving a scholarship that will help cover a large part of the travel costs?

If your answers to the above questions are ‘YES’, then MGMT20145 (Business and Management in the Asian Context) is the unit for you! The unit is delivered within the Business School but open to Postgraduate students from other schools, provided they have free electives in their study plan. Students enrolled in Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate courses may also be eligible as the unit can be accredited to a Postgraduate Master course.

The unit is delivered in Term 1 2019 and the study tour takes place just before and during the term break (10/04/19 to 19/04/19). The tour takes us to Hong Kong and Vietnam!

Please note we also have a limited number of scholarships available for students with Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency status, who meet all scholarship criteria; the scholarship will not cover the unit fees, which have to be paid in the same manner as the fees for any other elective unit you might choose. There may, however, be other financial support for you (e.g. HELP loans and/or tax exemptions), depending on your status. Even if you do not receive a scholarship, you can still take part in the unit and study tour!

Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Dr. Stephanie Macht, Unit Coordinator (MGMT20145) as soon as possible by email at [email protected] or phone (02) 9324 5787.

I'm excited to show you not only how to survive the roller coaster we call University, but how to enjoy the ride!
