CQUniversity is a sponsor of Global Voices, a not-for-profit that identifies and develops the next generation of Australian leaders by providing practical experience in foreign policy and international relations. With the opportunity to apply to attend multiple forums including; United Nations, OECD, World Bank, IMF, APEC, and G20.
Regardless of your discipline, background, etc., this opportunity is for you to drive your passion, learn more about your interests and personally grow. Therefore, don’t be afraid to apply, express your enthusiasm and passion for your application and this will shine through to show why you are an ideal candidate. My biggest tip when applying is ‘believe in yourself’, we are all capable of amazing things, and this is one opportunity to assist you in making a change. Also, if you don’t succeed the first time, try, try again, be persistent and who knows you may be chosen the second time like I personally was.
As part of the Global Voices program, you are prepared and equipped with the necessary skills before going on your overseas delegation with a pre-departure briefing in Canberra, which you can read here. They provide the necessary support along your journey and is a great to way to meet other aspiring university students and be inspired by the leaders of our nation.
