Earlier this year, I found out the exciting news that I had been selected as a Global Voices delegate. The scholarship took me on the trip of a lifetime to Paris, where I attended the OECD World Forum.

So, this is my first time overseas, as apparently Tasmania and New Zealand don’t count. I feel so privileged to represent CQUniversity and to be selected for this prestigious Global Voices scholarship, it is like the last piece of the puzzle to my university journey.

Make the most of opportunities. University is a time of self-discovery and learning. However, learning in isn’t just about attending classes, reading text books, and studying for exams. Life lessons are more often learnt in the field; on the run, and often without even setting out to learn something at all.
