How and why did you start studying at CQUniversity?
I wanted to look at a career path where I could engage more with the community and contribute to people’s quality of life, a career that reflected my character. As a mature age student I was searching for courses that could offer me flexibility and a foundation into my new chosen career path, I found the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled) offered me exactly what I was looking for.
What are some of the best aspects of your course?
There are many fantastic aspects of the course, my favourite is simulated lab time. This is where we learn about clinical practice in a simulated lab environment.
Some of the best things about studying by distance education?
I like the fact that CQUniversity offers this course via distance education which gives me the flexibility to obtain work in the industry and to put into practice skills learnt.
What are you most looking forward to following graduation? Plans for the future?
When I graduate from this course, I would like continue nursing studies and complete the Bachelor of Nursing at CQUniversity, drawing on credit from the Diploma.
What advice would you provide to prospective students contemplating study at CQ University?
Believe in yourself that you can do this, there is so much support at CQUniversity, they help you every step of the way, I’m really glad I made the choice to study. No matter what age or area of life you are in there are always opportunities for pathways at CQUniversity.
