Hi there! I’m Cara and I’ve just completed a three-year Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) degree at CQUniversity. I’ve also recently applied to study the Master of Clinical Chiropractic from Term 1, 2017.
I’ve wanted to be a Chiropractor since the early age of 11, after I received life-changing chiropractic care following a debilitating gymnastics injury. However, there was no degree available in Queensland at the time and the thought of moving away from my family for six years was overwhelming. Fortunately, CQUniversity began offering the course in 2014 at CQUniversity Brisbane and I was accepted in the very first student intake. My name is Brooke Storer and I am a CQUniversity Brisbane student.
I am currently studying my second year in the Bachelor Medical Sonography and Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography full-time.
When researching university programs within Medical Sonography, CQUniversity’s offering of this degree as a Bachelor rather than an exclusive postgraduate degree made it a perfect fit for me to begin my profession in the field of medical sonography. Originally from Port Macquarie, a small regional town on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, I was fortunate enough to be offered a place in CQUni’s Medical Sonography program – meaning I was off to the big smoke!
