Recent rankings paint a reassuring picture for CQUni students, graduates and their employers and communities, with earnings, employment and social equity coming out on top.
Results from the Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) from the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) data shows employers highly value our graduates’ skills: 95.9% of postgraduates and 88.1% of undergraduates are achieving full-time employment within three years of graduation. This data is a comforting reassurance to CQUni alumni welcomed into the workforce during this uncertain time.
Additionally, GOS data shows that CQUni alumni are paid third-best in Australia. CQUniversity graduates are achieving a median salary of $80,200 within just three years in the workforce – well above the $75,000 national average.
The Good Universities Guide (GUG) rankings reinforce these findings, and supports our ambitions to change lives and communities. The GUG awards rankings of 5 stars for universities in the top 20% of results in the country – and CQUni received the top ranking in seven of the major categories: Social Equity, First-generation, Undergraduate Full-time Employment, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Starting Salary, and Postgraduate Skills Development.
In fact, our Social Equity ranking is 1st in Australia: with 40% of undergraduate and postgraduate CQUniversity students from low socioeconomic or disadvantaged backgrounds, and 48% of undergraduate students the first-in-family to attend university. These statistics remind us of the importance of regional and flexible tertiary education.
CQUni also achieved highly for skills development: 80% of undergraduates and 84% of postgraduates were satisfied with the skill development they experienced through their studies.
This high employment, salary and focus on social equity reinforces our vision - to be Australia’s most accessible, supportive and engaged university - and our purpose - to provide world-class, transformative education and research for our students, partners and communities across Australia and internationally.
