CQUni students are now invited to register for The Big Idea 2020.
The competition invites students to develop a concept and business plan for a social enterprise or a social business, and compete with other students at participating universities.
If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, or just want to know a bit more about the competition, keep reading for our top four reasons why you should enter.
#1 – We offer support along the way
From the moment you sign up, you will gain access to the Big Idea Moodle page, where you will be connected with other innovators, receive notifications about upcoming events and info sessions, and reminders about deadlines.
CQUni staff will be able to assist you in developing your idea. Once your brief is submitted by the due date, 7 August 2020, our program managers will work with your team to refine your proposal.
#2 – The chance to make a difference
At CQUniversity, social innovation is at the core of our strategic vision and for many years has been entrenched in our core values.
The Big Idea competition is an opportunity for you to engage in social innovation in a practical way. Working in teams, you will identify and research a social issue, think about creative solutions, and develop a business plan with the aim of addressing the issue. You will then have the chance to present your idea to a panel of expert judges.
#3 - You have a real chance of winning
CQUni has a history of winning pitches, including The Shelter Project (2014), The Garden of Earthly Delights (2015), and A-Tech-You (2017). There’s no reason your idea can’t be the next one on the list of CQUni success stories!
#4 – There are prizes
Each member of the winning team will receive an Apple iPad, as well as being fast tracked to the final stage of the PwC Graduate Program.
