CQUNI SPOTLIGHT - Featuring Jennifer Goodall

New Geraldton Universities Centre (GUC) students will definitely be greeted with a smile on campus if they are looking for a Student Mentor. Psychology student Jennifer Goodall recently took on the role of Student Mentor Leader, at CQUni’s partner university centre in Geraldton and she is loving every minute of it.

What was a recent highlight in your life?
Being offered a job at CQUni as a Student Mentor Leader.

This weekend is free – What would you do?
Cross stitch whilst listening to an audiobook with my dog on my lap. Wow … that makes me sound old.

What is the best thing about your CQUni campus?
Geraldton Universities Centre is a mixed mode distance learning campus in regional WA with a unique relationship with CQUni, whereby we can attend tutorials and have a study hub, just like campus students.

What is the luckiest/unluckiest thing that has happened to you?
These two are intertwined. The unluckiest thing was losing my business, house and livelihood thanks to the economic downturn. However, without losing everything, I wouldn’t have been able to start again with the luckiest and happiest time of my life, which is being at uni studying something I love (that’s psychology by the way).

If you had no responsibilities, where would you be right now?
I don’t have any responsibilities right now, so I guess, living in Geraldton WA, studying Psychology at CQUni.

If you weren’t living in (your town), where would you be?
London … that’s my dream place to live.

Which country in the world would you most like to visit?
There are so many … I just can’t choose … I love learning about other cultures and histories.
