At CQUniversity, we often recognise your skills and knowledge gained from prior learning and experience. You may be eligible for a credit transfer (also known as course credits, recognition of prior learning, or exemptions) if you are able to demonstrate appropriate prior learning.
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COURSES
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) also known as Skills Assessment is an assessment process allowing new and current TAFE students to achieve all, or part, of a nationally recognised qualification by demonstrating their knowledge, skills and experience around a particular topics.
For more information regarding the benefits of RPL, the application process and more, visit our website.
DEGREE LEVEL COURSES
For degree level courses you may be eligible to apply for a credit transfer if you have undertaken studies in the last ten years, either from prior study at CQUniversity or another institution.
Successful credit transfer will reduce the number of units you are required to complete. In some cases, this may shorten the time it takes to complete a course, or reduce the study load per term.
If you are a domestic student your application for credit transfer will only be assessed after you have accepted an offer to study with CQUniversity. CQUniversity does not pre-asses credit, however, you can check our Articulation Database and use our online Credit Calculator to gain an estimate of the credit you may be eligible to receive.
If you do have further questions regarding credit transfers or RPL, get answers at one of Open Day Events held throughout August and September.
