What was a recent highlight of your life?
In June I received a distinction for my Biochemistry & Physiology unit for my Masters in Nutrition.
What do you like most about your work arrangements at CQUni?
Having just commenced as the Broome Study Hub coordinator, what attracted me to this role is being able to support and bring higher education opportunities to the regional and remote communities within the Kimberlys.
What do you love most about your role?
With everything I do in my life, what I like about this role is being able to make a difference.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I am a water girl so any chance I get I’m swimming in the ocean, taking my Jack Russell out on my stand up paddle board, or fishing. I love being outside and being active. I also love going out for dinner with my girlfriends.
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
My research plan is to look into helping to eradicate type 2 diabetes. Good nutrition is available to everyone but there is a lack of support and education.
If you weren’t living in Broome, where would you be?
Exploring Italy, its always been on my list of things to do! I love the language, country and of course the food! I would then be going back home to Africa, to help with the AIDS orphans with a view on of course better nutrition, as I believe that this is the underpinning reason to overcoming many diseases.swimming in the ocean, taking my Jack Russell out on my stand up paddle board, or fishing.
