Chancellor’s Cup Day Two

Rocky turned on some stunning weather for the teams competing in Day Two of the Chancellor’s Cup – Touch Football.  It was another fun-filled day for our students showing off their sporting prowess, but for many they were learning how to play a brand-new sport and there were laughs a plenty.

Alfie showing off his muscles after scoring a try!
Roger making a dive for the line to seal the game for Mackay.
Joel proving he’s more than a basketballer, setting down a runaway try in the corner.

I was fortunate enough to get behind the camera and don’t athletes love it when you point a lens at them. They turned it on good and proper for me.

Bodies are now hurting quite bad after two brutal days of seriously-fun competition, but morale is high and there is a real energy of excitement everywhere you go.

It’s just a step to the right……… and he’s away!!
Rita keeping our WA team in check.
A spectacular try!
Another of the Rocky girls showing just how much talent this team really has.

The Rocky team has taken first place in Touch Football. The Overall Leaderboard is now Rockhampton (24 points), closely followed by Wide Bay Burnett (22 points) and then Mackay (20 points).

Day Three will see our teams on the Oval again competing in five-a-side Football (Soccer).  Good luck everyone and keep enjoying the beautiful weather and excellent company!

Cheers – SID
