CQUNI SPOTLIGHT - Featuring Hannah Carr

If there’s one thing she’s passionate about, it’s marketing! Originally from Ingham and now based in Townsville, CQUni Marketing Assistant (Student Recruitment) Hannah Carr loves nothing more than helping people find the right pathway to their dream career.

What is the best thing about being at CQUni?

Being a part of an organisation that continuously challenges the norm, whether it’s through our marketing strategy, research, the way we treat our students or even the way we deliver content. Everyone I have crossed paths with at CQUni looks at something and thinks ‘how can I do this better?’ We’re just a big group of over-achievers really!

What is the best thing about your CQUni campus?

It’s only a short walk from home! Haha but really, we are still quite new in Townsville so it’s really cool to be a part of the growth of the campus. Townsvillians are really excited about us being in town and there’s just a great vibe around campus. Oh and of course the people who work here are pretty great too!

Why should people study at CQUni?

Here at CQUni you’re not just a number in a classroom (or logged in to a zoom session), your lecturers and tutors genuinely care about you and your success. Students are given so many incredible opportunities here, not just in their own course, but to be a part of a community and help change the world.

What do you love most about your role?

I’m one of those lucky people who absolutely loves their job. There are so many aspects of my role that I love, the people I work with and the variety of my work are up there but I would have to say that helping people find the right pathway to their dream career and then seeing them go through with it and start studying with us is definitely the highlight!

Jamie Oliver is coming to dinner - what do you make for him?

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not much of a cook, I don’t even think I have anything in the fridge at the moment! I think I would have to do the old ‘take away plated as my own cooking’ to avoid embarrassment.

If you were down to your last $10, what would you buy?

Definitely something chocolate. Everyone who sits in my office knows I’m a chocaholic and can never resist.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

Teleporting. I’ve been saying this for years. It would just save everyone so much time and you have to admit it would be cool to pop over to Italy for dinner on a Tuesday night.
