He’s one of the main faces behind CQUni’s StaffNet and now we can all put a face to the mastermind. Nigel Stacey has been at CQUniversity in Townsville for just over 18 months and in that time has taken on a large-scale project, leading a core team to implement our staff intranet system. Born and bred in North Queensland, the senior IT analyst/developer is a keen cyclist and when not working, enjoys spending quality time outdoors.
What was a recent highlight of your life?
I recently travelled to Tasmania. I had never been there before and enjoyed exploring the amazing landscape.
What is the best thing about being at CQUni?
The culture. I find that staff really do reflect the University values and the ‘Can Do’ approach really does make a difference.
What do you like the most about the work arrangements at CQUni?
CQUni’s geographically dispersed nature meant that I did not have to relocate when I started working here.
What is the best thing about your CQUni campus?
Seeing the mix of staff from varied disciplines and professions coming together as a team to accomplish great things.
If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
I think the ability to teleport anywhere in the world would be handy.
If you weren’t living in Townsville, where would you be?
Somewhere surrounded by forested mountains full of trails to explore.
