As Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at CQUniversity’s Melbourne campus, Dr Angelina Zubac has a considerable amount of professional and life experience. Over 30 years, she has worked for some of Australia’s biggest companies including NAB, CPA Australia, Melbourne Water and the Royal Australia Dental Hospital. She now takes that wealth of knowledge and passes it on to her students, a role she clearly gets a lot of enjoyment from.
What is your first memory?
Being held by my father who was showing me the house he was building for the family.
What was a recent highlight of your life?
Seeing my students graduate in Melbourne and watching them smile all day long.
What is the best thing about CQUni?
Teaching students from all over the world and have them continue to surprise me with their amazing natural abilities.
What was the moment that made you choose your career?
When I was a student I realised I liked creative work. Strategic management is the most creative subject in Business.
What is a motto or phrase that you live by?
Deny everything but also the more you know, the more you don’t know.
What do you love most about your role?
The interactions with students and knowing that the students who want to learn are getting high levels of learning.
If you were down to your last $10, what would you buy?
A lottery ticket, a tin of tuna, an apple, a mandarin and some instant noodles.
