CQUNI SPOTLIGHT - Featuring Natalie Turner

CQ Community Sports Complex casual gym instructor Natalie Turner is always eager to help people achieve their goals. As part of the CQUni community, Natalie recently led the warm-up at the Rocky River Run and also competed on the Challenge The Mountain event. She also had a very friendly encounter with a cockatoo, which became a YouTube sensation.

What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?

My recent cockatoo experience on Great Keppel Island. When I was doing some beach yoga and the cockatoo landed on me for salvation from attacking birds. Funnily enough I have seen a white cockatoo on campus each day since then 🙂

What is the best thing about your CQUni campus?

I love the abundance of wildlife here. We are lucky to have such a naturally beautiful campus.

What do you love most about your role?

I’m passionate about good health and wellbeing. My role as an exercise trainer allows me to positively improve people’s quality of life. Something I would happily do for free.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I’m a very active person. If I’m not running up a mountain somewhere I’ll be over on Great Keppel Island adventuring.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

I would ensure every person in the world has a basic standard of living. Knowing people die of starvation and curable illnesses is heartbreaking.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

The power to heal anyone/anything. What a gift that would be.

Which country in the world would you most like to visit?

Australia, as there is so much area of this country that I am yet to explore.
