CQUNI SPOTLIGHT - Featuring Tegan Lamb

CQUniversity alumnus, Tegan Lamb, graduated with a Certificate IV in Community Services in May 2016. The achievement sees Tegan join our growing number of TAFE and Practical Learning alums. Completing her studies while raising a family, Tegan works part time as the Development Assistant in the CQUni Development and Alumni Relations Office. Tegan is passionate about community services, children’s rights and curing disease – and of course, three beautiful children.


What was a recent highlight of your life?

There are two recent highlights, one was when I had my baby girl on Christmas Eve last year. My other two children absolutely adore her. The other one was when I received my Certificate IV in Community Services.

How did you find your experience with CQUni?

I had a great experience with CQUniversity. I found the lecturers were very supportive and responsive, they have made a significant impact to my academic growth and development as well as my own personal growth which lead me to achieve great things.

What were the best things you learned at CQUni?

When we had guest speakers. Hearing and Learning from their experiences was interesting, inspiring and made you self-aware at times. I enjoyed the practical learning, it was a great opportunity to engage and work with other students from all walks of life.

What is the best thing about your CQUni campus?

I studied at the Rockhampton City campus – I really liked the lecturers and guest speakers.

What is your favourite thing about working at CQUni?

I really enjoy working in a great team environment and contributing to the division, working on projects and achieving positive outcomes.

What is a motto or phrase that you live by?

Never doubt yourself, you are capable of so much more than you think.

What is your favourite karaoke song and why?

I would have to say YMCA by The Village People. It gets everyone up and dancing.
