Last year, the CQUniversity Sustainability team launched the Ditch the Disposables campaign with a clear aim to reduce single-use plastics.
CQUniversity is not only working hard to educate staff and students on the harmful impacts of single-use plastic but also aims to lead by example. The University has embarked on a long-term sustainability journey and is working with particular areas to demonstrate its commitment to the environment.
Join the global movement of Plastic Free July! Be a part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
Will you be part of Plastic Free July by choosing to refuse single-use plastics?
About the Challenge
Plastic Free July provides resources and ideas to help you (and millions of others around the world) reduce single-use plastic waste every day at home, work, school, and even at your local café. The movement has inspired over 250 million participants in 177 countries.
Your small change will collectively make a massive difference to our communities. You can choose to refuse single-use plastics in July (and beyond!). Best of all, being part of Plastic Free July will help you to find great alternatives that can become new habits forever.
Take the challenge
You can take up the Plastic Free July challenge and get involved by registering today. Participants will receive handy tips and tricks through weekly emails directly from the Plastic Free July organisation. Stay motivated by reading stories from other challengers and by sharing your good work! Together we can make a difference and be part of the solution.
