Careers Fair is an annual tradition at CQUniversity. The online and on-campus events are a once-a-year opportunity to find out what employers are looking for, how to create an impressive resume, key strategies for a successful interview, and what career opportunities exist in different sectors.

All students are welcome. Whatever you are studying, TAFE or Uni, online or on-campus, take a break from lectures and assignments, and think about the real reason you are here – your career!

Key representatives will be available to meet with you online or on the Rockhampton North campus. Hosted online via ZOOM, the virtual events will allocate different employers into rooms where you will be able to interact directly.

We don’t often get the chance to press pause and think about the big picture. Careers Fair is an opportunity to look to the future and prepare yourself for the career opportunities that lie ahead.

Learn about how to apply for jobs in different industries. Bring along your resume and have it reviewed by the Resume Doctors. Meet with employers who want to recruit CQUniversity students and graduates.

#3 Meet the experts

Careers Fair is brought to you by the CQUni Careers team, our very own experts when it comes to putting your best foot forward and landing that dream job. The Careers team are available for appointments. They also host workshops and offer a range of online resources.

Registrations for the online events and the Rockhampton North event are open now. Visit CareerHub for all of the event details and to register today.

Schedules are also available from CareerHub. There can be up to six employers available during a one-hour timeslot, so we recommend you do your research and prepare yourself before the day.

Mae Swarbrick (

Mae Swarbrick is a current student, studying part-time in the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts, and working full-time as Student Communications Officer. Mae's ongoing experience as a current student is invaluable in her role as leader of the Student Communications team.
