Hey, it’s Mignon here – your Mackay Change Champ from the Office of Social Innovation. Did you know I am 1 of 5 students employed by CQUniversity in this role?! Located across campuses in Australia – Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Rockhampton and Mackay – my team are dedicated to engaging with you, CQUni students, and our communities to address entrenched social issues.
As ambassadors, we try to build vibrancy and create opportunities for you to have an impact through community engagement experiences. We are always looking to connect with like-minded students who want to become leaders and changemakers in their local community, and the world. Join us by participating in interesting events and activities including festivals, volunteering, documentary screenings, workshops, meetups and community projects!
We’re also responsible for campaigns like #thinkaboutit and over the next four months, we’ll be exploring issues that affect people and the planet. For the month of October, we are highlighting poverty within Australia and the world. We invite you to join us at our Anti-Poverty Week events listed on our CQUni Social Innovation Facebook page.
We are curious, passionate and excited to collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure you have access to relevant social innovation information and opportunities. So if you are a leader or care about social change, send us an email at email@example.com, join our Facebook page or catch your Change Champ on campus at a recurring pop-up stall!
We want to start clubs, run workshops and empower CQUni students to become local leaders.
Connect with like-minded people and become the change you wish to see in the world – join the movement today!
