Work and study opportunities: Paid Positions

Lectures, libraries and late nights come to mind when thinking about University but did you know there’s a world of other student experiences outside of simply studying?

CQUniversity offers a range of work and study opportunities, from overseas exchange, to leadership opportunities, mentoring, and paid positions. This blog highlights Student Ambassadors, Peer Advisors, and Participation Assistants but keep an eye out for other opportunities advertised throughout the academic year.

Participation Assistants

Employer: CQUniversity – Student Life & Wellbeing Centre
Type: This is a casual (1-4 hours) contract position HEW level 3 at $34 – $37 per hour.
Requirements: You must be eligible for a Blue Card. Must be a current student.
Locations: Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Brisbane, Sydney.

Peer Advisors

Employer: CQUniversity Library
Type:  This is a casual contract position HEW level 2 at $30+ per hour. Junior rates will apply to those Peer Advisors under 21.
Requirements: Must be a current student who has successfully completed their first term.
Locations: Brisbane, Bundaberg, Mackay, Melbourne, Noosa, Rockhampton North, Sydney.

Student Ambassador

Employer: CQUniversity Rockhampton Region, Campus Life
Type:  This is a casual contract position HEW level 1 at $30.70 per hour. Requirements: Must be a current student. See position description for all requirements.
Locations:  Rockhampton.

Student Ambassadors are recruited for different departments, throughout the year. Please keep an eye out for other Ambassador opportunities at other locations.

  1. jobs regarding peer advisors is still open or closed?
    when i tried to open it, (Unable to select LC database) message occurred. so if it is still on then please provide me the procedure to apply for that position.
